Highlights! (and a look at our next week)

We enjoyed our visit from Mr. Alford, Ms. Alford's dad, who is a Hydro-Geologist.  He gave a presentation on the Water Cycle, which we have been learning about this week.  Here are a few pictures:

Yesterday, we were "Word Surgeons" and performed surgery to make contractions.  Here are a few pictures of our surgery:

We also went outside to draw and identify all 4 main types of clouds in the sky: (cumulus, stratus, cirrus, cumulonimbus)

Next week we will be finishing our book Sarah, Plain and Tall and we will be having our second Coffee Talk.  A sign up genius will be sent out with items to bring.   We are also going to have tests over the foundations of multiplication and division, the water cycle, and Ancient China.   I will send an email with specifics for those assessments.

Please be looking for information coming home on our big Insect Unit and Research Project.  Assigned insects and due dates will be sent home Monday!
