GREEK DAY-Craft Supplies Sign Up
During the 2nd Grade GREEK DAY
festivities on Wednesday 12/16, the students will be participating in a
few Greek themed crafts and we need your donations to make it AWESOME!!
IN ADDITION TO THE ITEMS LISTED FOR SIGNUP, BY MONDAY 12/14 EACH STUDENT MUST BRING IN:
Option 1: A WHITE CERAMIC PLATE, BOWL
OR MUG FOR THE POTTERY CRAFT-THIS MUST BE A SMOOTH FINISH WITH NO
TEXTURE. GOOD PLACE TO SHOP IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY AT HOME ARE THE
DOLLAR TREE AND IKEA
Option 2: IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO SEND
ONE IN, YOUR CHILD CAN BRING IN $1 AND PURCHASE ONE. PLEASE NOTE, IN
ORDER TO ACCOMMODATE THE PURCHASE PLEASE SEND IN YOUR $1 BY MONDAY

Read-A-Thon Thursday, 12/17
Please pack a blanket, flash light and small pillow or soft item for our lights out reading time. Students may bring their own books from home (please make sure your name is in the book!) We have guest readers coming, and if you would also like to come read a favorite book, send me an email and we can coordinate times. This is a half-day. Lunch and after school activities will NOT be provided. We will have a bread and jam snack in honor of one of my favorite stories as a child, Bread and Jam for Francis
Friday Winter Fun Day 12/18
On Friday we will be enjoying a fun day of learning with a winter theme. I will be providing the activities, but if you have something you would enjoy doing with the class, please send me an email and we can discuss ideas.
Insect Project: Due January 7-8
We have been working on collecting all needed information for our insect project and next Wednesday our last page is due. We will be sending home all information for you to work on the culminating project.
Quarter 2 Evaluations will be sent out on December 30th.
School resumes on Jan. 6th.
Conferences will be held by invitation on the afternoon of January 6th.
