Our First Week!

Our first week is complete and here are some of the highlights we have learned:

1.  Dismissal is still a work in progress!  Your patience is appreciated, and cooler weather has never been more anticipated!

2.  Homework routine:  Homework will go home nightly and be due the next day.  Agendas are filled out according to homework.  Please initial these agendas nightly and record the book being read (unless the book is assigned).

3.  There is a 5th Ocean- It might have been a hot topic around your dinner table.... Here is a link with more information, the kids really got into this discussion:

4.  The Fisherman and His Wife was so much fun to read this week- it is amazing the insight and high justice nature of our students- they were all quite passionate about the lesson and moral of the story!

5.  2nd graders still need snacks!  So, we will have a small, healthy, light snack daily.

6.  There is a lot of paperwork at the beginning of the year, and your help in returning it is so very appreciated!

Please mark your calendars:  Curriculum Night: August 27th, 6:30-8 pm. This is a great time to receive more insight into the curriculum, the class structure, and ask questions!  I hope each family can be represented during the meeting.

Have a great weekend!
