A Look at our Week (September 21st-25th)

We have movement in some of our eggs!  We were hoping for our first pip before school was out, but we didn't get one.  We should have some chicks tomorrow!!!

We are beginning to collect Box Tops for Education.  This is a great way to earn money for our school- please encourage grandparents, friends, neighbors, anyone to save Box Tops!  More information will be coming from our PSO, but you can begin saving them now!  Here is a list of items that contain box tops for those who are new to the program:

Tomorrow is our first Coffee Talk- it is an introduction into a Socratic Discussion, which your students will become very familiar with as they get older :)
Hopefully we will have chick and coffee talk pictures up soon!

What we are learning this week:

Math: Regrouping in the 10's, and the 100's and 10's
Spalding:  Spelling starts next week!  Look for the "how to" note coming home regarding spelling word homework each night
Literature:  Stories from Ancient Asia (China and India)
Science:  Life Cycle of a Frog and adaptations of frogs
Social Studies:  Ancient India
