Great Hearts Day is coming! We have a half day on Friday, February 12th.
We will be attending a school assembly where we will focus on the Virtue of Honesty and Kindness. Following the school assembly we will have a class celebration in which our focus will be highlighting the friendship and kind-heartedness that is evident in our classroom each day.
Our classroom liaisons and myself will be planning a party in which the students will enjoy activities that highlight what is means to be a good friend. Our hope is that each child in the classroom feels celebrated for their demonstration of Friendship.
As we are establishing new traditions here at Archway Lincoln, we do ask that you please do not bring any Valentine cards, gifts, treat bags, or other Valentine related goodies to pass out to friends and students. We are trying to keep the focus away from gift giving, and more on displaying our great-heartedness. Any valentines that do come to school will not be able to be passed out, and will have to return home. Thank you so much in supporting Great Hearts policies regarding this fun day.
