Week 2: A Sneak Peak

I am looking forward to visiting with each of you at Curriculum Night this Thursday!  If you have any specific curricular questions you would like answered, please feel free to send me a separate email and I will do my best to answer your questions during our evening together.  Please remember it is an adult only evening.

Many thanks for your partnership on our very first assessments in 2nd grade!  Overall, the class did a wonderful job, in great part due to your commitment to working with them at home.  Thank you!

This week we will be learning the following:

Literature: 
Story Elements, Sequencing, Moral of the story:  How a Camel Got His Hump.

Grammar:  5 Parts of a Complete Sentence; Nouns

Spalding:  30 Words

Math:  Place Value: Assessment- this FRIDAY, all classes!

History:  Geography of the Americas- week 1:  A closer look at Canada, United States, Mexico and Central America

Science:  Seasons (First Experiment coming up soon!) We will be collecting bottles of sunscreen in various SPF.  (The bottles WILL be returned!) More information to come in a separate email later this week!
