Week 3 Sneak Peek

Good Evening Parents!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend- it is always amazing how quickly the weekends slip by once school is back in full swing!  Here are a few quick updates as we move into the week:

1.  Picture Day- this Thursday, August 25th! (Please still send your child to school in uniform!)
2. Our first Science Experiment tomorrow- be sure to check out the blog for class pictures later this week!
3.  The Boxcar Children:  We will begin introducing the book on Wednesday.  If you still have the book at home, please send it in with your child by Wednesday.

Literature:  Story Elements

Grammar:  Verbs:  action, being, linking

Math:  Addition and Subtraction Review
          (without regrouping)

Science:  Seasons: Identifying the tilt of the earth's axis and the location of the Northern hemisphere to the sun causing different seasons.  Identifying the role of the sun, UV rays, etc.

History:  Geography of the Americas continued
